US private equity firm H.I.G. Capital has completed its acquisition of Avove from Rubicon Partners, with plans to grow the business through further bolt-on acquisitions. Avove's management team remains in place. Part of a wider wave of overseas/PE investment into UK water supply chain SMEs — six such deals in under six months.

Avove (formerly Amey Utilities) reported FY2025 revenue of £227m (up from £216m) and pre-tax profit up 29% to £17m — a 6.9% operating margin. Fourth straight year of growth as the business converts AMP8 framework positions into strong financial performance.
